Last year someone (Ngô Bảo Châu) of Vietnamese descent won something like an equivalent of a Nobel in math and there was a big fuss in Vietnam when the government gave funding to build more math institutes in Vietnam, probably in the hope of winning more math prizes in the future (as if they don’t have enough Olympic math medals already).
Anyway, for today’s parody “lesson”, the only few words you need to know are
học to study
rớt to fail
không no, not (here không is abbreviated as ko)
That, and your math knowledge will help you through this lesson. And maybe vdict.com if you need to look up words.
This comic came from a collection called Đô rê mon Chế (chế means parody) that circulates online. The original series is Doraemon which many Vietnamese kids grew up with, myself included.
